What I think about STC condos
Living near STC is very convenient. You can walk to Freshco for groceries. Or Real Canadian Superstore on Progress. Bored? Go to Scarborough Town Centre. And maybe walk around Civic Centre park. There’s a lot to do. Movies. Restaurants. Recreation like the YMCA or Centennial Recreation Centre down near Markham Road and Ellesmere.
If you love to run, make Thomson Memorial Park and Civic Centre park a part of your circuit. There’s a lot of green space around Scarborough’s city centre. And there’s a leash-free dog park within Civic Centre Park.
Top sushi restaurants in Scarborough are nearby. Niji at Midland and Ellesmere. Ten-Ichi all you can eat sushi on Sheppard east of McCowan. If you want to try well known franchise restaurants, there’s plenty. All Star Wings. Boston Pizza. Jack Astor’s. Milestone’s. Swiss Chalet. And many others including those found in the STC foodcourt.
The condo prices don’t rise as much as downtown, but they are amongst the highest within Scarborough. And if the plans for a Scarborough subway pushes through, chances are you’ll see prices jump. But overall, it’s a great location. A nice young professional and new family oriented place to live. Rentals are in such high demand with limited availability nowadays. Definitely a great place to own or invest.
