Imagine a world where there are no more trade secrets. That comprehensive and detailed report you "put together" in mere minutes? Everyone can do it. That instant app or website you built? Someone gave the URL to their OpenClaw and got it replicated. Those emails you have AI answering? The other person has AI answering you back.
Tools exist today that should, in theory, equalize the playing field. Except they won't. Because AI isn't an equalizer. It's an amplifier.
I use AI to build apps. I'm not equal to a skilled developer. But it did allow me to turn my ideas into shippable products I can deliver faster and at scale.
I don't use it for writing - that's why my writing still sucks. But someone using AI to write won't gain the skills equal to a great author. It'll only amplify the number of words they produce.
You can play with ChatGPT 5.5 or Nano Banana 2 all day long and you won't be as great as a talented graphic designer or artist. But you'll splash together a bunch more graphics than they can. In half the time.
Leveraging AI tools won't make you equal to great talent who have fine tuned their skills to do what they do. But it can amplify your unique ability, the skill set you own, and fill in the missing pieces to amplify your production.
Is that a good thing? A bad thing?
I guess we'll find out as this plays out.
